Hon. Dns. Mrs. Eunice Buah Funeral Brochure

Do I write this tribute as a brother-in-law, or as the person who she entrusted to run her company or as her confidant on a variety of serious matters? Do I write this tribute on behalf of her sister, my wife who is devastated or do I write it on behalf of our employees who cannot make sense of our new reality? Or do I share with the world how beautiful and complex and sometimes misunderstood she was? I wore many hats in her life and I did not and still do not take that for granted. I called her “Sister Eunice” or “Boss Lady” and she fondly called me “Uncle Etse”. In the last few years, my work day started with a drive to her house for a meeting before going to work. It is no wonder that for weeks after her passing, I still saw the need to stop by her house. Maybe, that’s what comforted me. Maybe, I wasn’t ready for the routine to end. Maybe somehow, she still directed and led me through meetings beyond the grave. I have watched you turn a small unassuming coldstore with 5 employees in an open plan office in your personal residence into the edifice we currently have at Tema Port and our other satellite locations. I have lived through us sharing one car to LaBianca now owning a fleet of vehicles that transport our goods. I have witnessed suppliers talk down at you when you owed them money to you being hailed with powerful accolades from your family, friends, industry colleagues, politicians and church members. I have watched you stay calm when you were voiceless in issues that mattered to you to now being part of the President of Ghana’s advisory team in your capacity as an elected Council of State member of Ghana. In all this, what I admire most about you is your loyalty, humility, generosity and vision. You have remained loyal to Brian Wedgam who is our broker, supplier and business partner through thick and thin, and through the highs and the lows. Indeed, our partnership grew as our individual businesses grew. In most ways, we have become like family where we celebrate personal milestones together. The trust Wedgam has in us allowed him to support us in ways we haven’t seen any supplier do and we will continue to remain loyal to him just as you wanted. You have remained humble to your church and still remembered that God was the source. You always said “my God has never failed me so I will serve him forever” and you did! Your generosity was unmatched and sometimes to a fault. The number of people, businesses and institutions who rely on you for their daily bread is uncountable. You always said that when your cup overflows, everyone’s cup will be filled. You did exactly that! Your vision puts you in a league of your own. There’s a saying that “if your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough”. Sister Eunice’s vision and dreams for LaBianca and family were big daunting ones that left me in awe! We will continue to build on the legacy you have already built. We will continue to grow the seeds that you have planted. We accept this mandate and we will lift your works to higher heights. So help us God. Rest well my senior wife. Rest well my Boss Lady. Rest well Sister Eunice!
