“Ɛnti ampaa, owuo de Eno kͻ? Ɛnti ampaa, yɛnnhu yɛ Maame biom? Ͻbuͻ pae a yɛnmpam; anka yɛ bɛ pam Eno.” The once vibrant, BEAUTIFUL FAMILY has lost its spark because our Signora Bella, the star of the group, has dimmed as she bows out in response to a divine calling. Mrs. Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh (Obaa Yaa) was the mother figure for a very dynamic group comprising a bevy of ladies, endowed with varied yet peculiar attributes. We all brought different things to the table. Life with her was grand. We enjoyed exciting times, traveling across the country together to attend functions and sometimes inspecting projects; and in the process, making sweet memories—Takoradi, Berekum, Tamale, to mention just a few, and even across the shores of the country. Shewas such a sweet sister fromanother mother, and our dearest SO (may the Lord continue to rest her calm soul) was our grandmother. Her sister Hannah is our ‘Rich Aunty.’ Wining, dining, and making merry in a healthy way was also part of it. Oh yes! We danced a lot, with ‘Kotosa’ being our signature tune amidst laughter. We did laugh a lot. We shared sweet fellowship. She also made some of us fall in love with the Church of Pentecost because of her love for the things of God. Mama Eunice was a giver. Generosity was her strength. Her generosity enhanced the quality of our lives. Indeed, if all wealthy people were like her... Although none of us matched up to her in any way in terms of wealth and substance, she never made any of us feel inferior. We went out in the same attire, most often sponsored by her. In fact, when we stepped out together, it was difficult for people to identify who was in charge because she was always down to our level. We respected her. We adored her. When she found love again, we were her bridal team. We became ‘Abanoma Abeiku’ to our ‘Papa Beautiful,’ Nana Asomah-Hinneh. Cee Mama was our coordinator, with Reenie being Senior Abeiku. We had looked forward to more fun-filled times together, but things have fallen apart, and the center doesn’t seem to be holding anymore. But since she empowered us to be independent, we’ll wipe off our tears and continue with her legacy. We are sorely broken. Our hearts have been torn into shreds, but we console ourselves with the fact that her soul is resting easy in the bosom of the Lord. Hannah, Cee Mama, Olly, Anita, Reenie, Felicia, Patricia, Ernestina, Mercy Aflu, Martha, and Angela will dearly miss you, Signora Bella, most beautiful Mama. “Beautiful Family” g Tribute Eternally Cherished 70 Hon.
